TDC #57: Disneyland Paris Part Deux

June 16, 2009
Cafe Hyperion

Wonderin' where the lions are?

Adam Goodger of the Disney Brit Podcast is with us again! And no, we didn’t have a meal together alongside these charming lions at Café Hyperion….though I surely wish we could have.

Good Morning Fantasyland

A cheering Watchamacallit, en route to Good Morning Fantasyland breakfast for French Coco Puffs

(A note about audio quality: We did manage to get the spoken tracks into mono this time, in response to your feedback. There’s a bit of roughness here and there, though, which we’re just going to have to blame on trans-Atlantic Skype packet loss. Our apologies.)

TDC #55: Disneyland Paris Attractions

June 2, 2009

Jennifer and The Watchamacallit are planning a return visit to Disneyland Paris this summer, but their Disneyland Paris skillz are in need of some sharpening! So, Jennifer and Lisa called in an expert: Adam Goodger of the Disney Brit Podcast.

Oh, and the link to Hayden’s Hong Kong Disneyland, and Len’s drug-addled comment? Start here at Broke Hoedown and you’ll find both. Ain’t no drinkin’ on the carousel…but what about parkin’ on the dance floor? Well??!?

TDC #51: Cranky Cranky Cranky!

May 5, 2009

Who, us? Cranky? Well, yeah. A lot of things get on our nerves, and sometimes we’ve just gotta go with it.

And no, Jennifer’s not just talking out of school about those Starbucks caffiene levels. Check this out, from Slate:

The Wall Street Journal earlier this year sent samples of coffee from Starbucks, 7-Eleven, and Dunkin’ Donuts to Central Analytical Laboratories. The lab reported that a 16-ounce Starbucks house blend coffee contained 223 milligrams of caffeine, compared with 174 and 141 milligrams in comparable amounts of Dunkin’ Donuts and 7-Eleven coffee, respectively. According to the Journal, the average Starbucks coffee drink contains 320 milligrams of caffeine.

And that little bit of Japanese Mickey Mouse at the end of the podcast? It’s Mickey’s answering machine, from Tokyo Disneyland’s Toontown. Woot!

TDCs#36 – Cruisefest!

January 20, 2009

We’ll also here briefly from Tracey and Scott from the Disney, Indiana Podcast (Hoosier momma?) and Wayne and Trace, the Disney Dudes . Meow!

Gingerbread house at the Grand Floridian, 2006

Flat Cats!

October 6, 2008

How thoughtful is Jeff W? He designed these Flat Cats, based on our original logo, by the fabulous Dan Hess of Venis Productions. So, y’all can play a litle Flat Stanley-type game if you wish. Just print them out, color them up, and cut out your own little Lisa and Jennifer, to pose with as you take pictures in the locations of your choice (Disney or otherwise)! If enough of you send pictures, we’ll set up a page here on our blog so everyone can enjoy.

TDC#17 Growing up in a Miley/Jonas-free and Ol’ Yeller-full Universe

September 2, 2008

Gosh, is it September already???? Time flies when you’re having fun, right pals??!! :)   Back to school time gets the Cats reminiscing about Uncle Walt, the Mickey Mouse Club and Disco Dancers… After all, what else is there really?

Remember these:

Lisa still dances like that…. (And she is NOT EVEN going to ask why the asian kid is doing kung fu moves, the black kid has a basketball and Angel, the latino male representative is sort of dancing then throwing gang signs… OY!)

This is the one Lisa always sees on property…

    <—–still likes to disco

i <3 stick pins and unfortunate perms!

you (NOT your children) might also want to check out the savage lovecast…  oh, and Jennifer was correct, the Disney Radio gig WAS a table and some speakers….

Oh yes, these kids of today know how to par-tay!!   Discuss!

TDC #10 – Meeting Magic!

July 16, 2008

This week, we Cats talk a bit about MagicMeets, which we’ll both be attending for the first time, this coming weekend in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania. The Wachamacallit reviews WALL-E (with mild spoilers), and then all three of us reminisce about the people we met during our trip to Walt Disney World last month for Star Wars Weekends (recorded live at Le Cellier).

Download the episode directly, or subscribe using iTunes or RSS feed.

We hope to see many of you at MagicMeets! We’ll have plenty of Those Darn Cats buttons to give away, and are really looking forward to meetings some of you!

TDC#8 – A different kind of commando

July 1, 2008
